Rising Girls

We are thrilled to announce that the inspirational reporter and filmmaker Sahar Zand will be attending and speaking at the Rise Together Walk 2022!

Sahar spent the first 12 years of her life in Iran, before fleeing the country and moving to the UK. The adversity she faced throughout these years inspired Sahar to amplify the voices of marginalised communities through her work from a unique perspective rarely seen in mainstream media.

She has worked internationally for the BBC, Channel 4 and Vice to name just a few. Her ITV documentary 'Britain's 'Virginity' Clinics Uncovered' was shown in parliament to argue for the illegalisation of virginity clinics across the UK.
